  1. What is the Sociodigileaders Competition?
    • The Sociodigileaders Program is a competition for creative minds with ideas that will benefit society. Ideas may come from the fields of law, environment, human resources, technology, business, system development or even take the form of a digital application.

      This competition focuses on seeking out the future digital leaders who are willing to give their all for this nation.

       

  2. What are the steps to compete in Sociodigileaders 2017?
    • After registering and submitting your team’s idea, these are the stages participants will undergo:

      Stage 1

      Top 100 ideas, based on your team’s video.

      Stage 2

      Top 25, determined from an online presentation. The 25 teams will be chosen to be given the chance to partake in a paid internship with experts to sharpen their idea. All participants will attend a boot camp on one of the most beautiful islands in the world: The Island of Bali. Through this paid internship and boot camp, they will further hone their leadership qualities, entrepreneurial spirit, teamwork, communication skills, and social sensitivity.

      Stage 3

      The teams will be narrowed down to 10, based on the boot camp and internship.

      Grand final!

      The selected teams will present their best ideas in front of a row of judges to compete for the ultimate prize: an opportunity to visit the creative hubs of the world in Europe and Asia, receive funding, idea incubation, a scholarship, and the chance to be a part of Telkom Group under their Innovators Team.

  3. What are the criteria to participate in Sociodigileaders?
    • Here are the prerequisites in order to participate:

      1. Form a team of 3 youthful members from any part of the globe; Indonesian citizens as well as foreign applicants are welcome to apply!
      2. Applicants must be under 27 years of age, as per 1st October 2017
      3. Applicants must have a minimum education of a Bachelor’s degree (S1), or currently in their last semester of their Bachelor’s degree.

  4. How do I register for this competition?
    • You only need to follow 3 simple steps to be the next Sociodigileaders! Here they are:

      1. Step 1 - get your awesome team ready!

      a. Form a team of 3 youthful members from any part of the globe; Indonesian citizens and foreign applicants are welcome to apply!

      b. Applicants must be under 27 years of age, as per 1st October 2017

      c. Applicants must have a minimum education of a Bachelor’s degree (S1), or currently in their last semester of their Bachelor’s degree.      

      2. Step 2 – Let’s Register!

      a. Register your team at sdl.telkom.co.id

      b. Fill out your profile and submit your latest photo

      3. Step 3 – Submit your brilliant idea!

      a. Make a video detailing your creative idea as well as a brief profile of your team, with a maximum runtime of 1.5 minutes.

      b. Upload the video onto YouTube with the hashtag #indonesiabutuhkita and #sociodigi2017 before 30th June 2017 at 23:59 WIT (Western Indonesian Time)

  5. What is in it for me ?
    • The top 25 teams will receive the experience of a lifetime participating in a series of programs to mould their leadership, teamwork, entrepreneurial creativity, and social sensitivity.

      a. Paid internship

      In this session, all participants will receive a chance to be directly guided by the Senior Leaders of PT. Telkom Indonesia in order to ripen their ideas. The participants will sharpen their communication, negotiation, and teamwork skills, and, of course, expand their networking.

      b. Boot camp

      You will experience the most memorable and impressionable times with our bootcamp in the island of Bali, together with our experts. This session will feature a variety of puzzles to strengthen leadership and teamwork. We will also be hosting a Social Needs Orientation with the local communities in Bali in order to sharpen your social sensitivity.

  6. Is there a registration fee for Sociodigileaders?
    • The programs and events of Sociodigileaders will be completely free of charge and is open to any who satisfies the aforementioned criteria.

  7. Is there a roadshow in my city/country?
    • Yes, we will host roadshows in several cities and nations in the month of May. Check our roadshow schedule here

  8. Will there be a transfer of intellectual copyright in regards to the idea I will submit to Sociodigileaders ?
    • Your ideas will be completely your own, from its inception onwards, and we will never claim any right to it. Additionally, participants will be assisted throughout the competition to develop and launch their applications to the real world market.

  10. How to upload video?
    • Upload your video to Youtube and use #indonesiabutuhkita and #sociodigi2017 hashtags. Then, insert the video link in "My Sociodigileader" form on our website.

      Here's how to upload the video:

      1. Leader must log in first
      2. Click MY TEAM (green button) or select menu MY SOCIODIGILEADER at the top right
      3. In the video field, paste the video URL from Youtube
      4. Complete the idea description
      5. Click APPLY
      6. Status APPLIED means your team has been successfully registered
